Consultation responses

Here you will find details about Parish Council responses to recent consultations and  other correspondence concerning more significant issues of interest and concern to local residents.

Buckinghamshire Authority

Between July 2019 and March 2020 the Buckinghamshire Shadow Authority conducted several consultations seeking views on how the new unitary authority should operate.
In August 2019 the Unitary Authority launched a consultation on Community Boards. These boards which are now in operation provide an opportunity for parish councils in each Board area to contribute to strategies of the new unitary authority, be part of the decision-making processes about local services, raise concerns from residents about council services and award grants, etc. This is the Parish Council’s Community Board consultation response – September 2019.

In 2011 the Parish Council appointed a Working Group to draft a response to the government’s HS2 consultation on the proposed route from London to Birmingham.

A Parish Meeting to discuss the HS2 proposals was held on Wednesday 15th June 2011 at St Leonards Parish Hall. Around 80 people attended the Parish Council Consultation Meeting. Cllr Nick Rose, our local Councillor and Leader Chiltern District Council gave a presentation on the flaws in the HS2 business case followed by Chris Brown who outlined the Parish Council’s draft response to the consultation. There was a lively discussion and suggestions on the form and content of the responses by both the Parish Council and by individuals to the Government’s HS2 Consultation.

The Parish Council’s response to the HS2 Consultation which was signed off on 25th June 2011 is included below.
